The Greenhouse

Tucked away on a side street in the small Lancashire town of Longridge, near Preston, is the largest independent health food store in the North-West of England.

The Greenhouse Natural Health Food Store has recently been chosen as the best independent health food store in the UK at the National Natural Health Awards at the Harrogate International Centre.

This is not the first time they have won the award either. They have become the only health food store in the UK to win the award twice. So what is it that makes The Greenhouse so special?

The Greenhouse is an multi-award winning enterprise – established 5 years ago by owners, Mike Arnold and Shaun Mills.

Passionate about natural health, their guiding principles are that their provision should be: “Friendly, enthusiastic, ethical and knowledgeable”

When talking to both Mike and Shaun, it is obvious that they really care about what they do. The store is exceptionally well stocked, with products very attractively set out. But what makes the difference is definitely the highly personal service on offer.

Both Mike and Shaun make it their business to find natural solutions to their customers’ problems, and ensure they are well up to date with developments in their field in order to provide the most effective advice possible. They even write a weekly natural health column for the local paper.
